[ Jackson hated the woods. They were filthy, exposed and unnecessary. Not to mention the insulting lack of supplies. The message, however, was a welcome invitation. But he didn't care about us-versus-them. It was him versus everyone else. Even what remained of his pack wasn't safe, if they chose to cross him. He could always bite more people.
Because Jackson? He was an alpha. A cold, uncaring, ruthless alpha. He never spent time as the kanima, lacking the issues that had led to that for his counterpart. He'd need some semblance of a heart to be anywhere near that. But he was also from a little further along the timeline. Having taken on the Alpha twins and taken their power from him.
He could be found stalking through the woods. Seeking his pack. Seeking infiltrators. Seeking anyone he could find an excuse to kill. ]

[ In looks, he is no different. But in voice, he certainly is. There's a cold stillness to him. An overwhelming sense of control. Making him sound closer to Peter Hale than the little ball of fury that was the original version of Jackson. ]
There is only one person who's going to win this. And no one will stand in my way. So we're going to work out a little deal. Anyone in my pack--[ The word sounded like poison on his tongue. ]--should already know what that is.

When he tightens his grip on her, she lifts her hands to his hand, trying to pull his fingers away from her, her eyes tearing up as she tiptoes, trying for any means to free herself.
She's trying to look at him and see anything that might remind her of the boy she loved, anything she might be able to reach for, but there doesn't seem to be anything for her to find.]

And he was so very satisfied, watching her struggle so very hard. His hand remaining, unhindered by her attempts to remove it. ]
What are you looking for, Lydia? Remorse? You won't find it.
[ But even as he said it, his grip loosened. Just enough for her to breathe again. He wanted to draw this out. Devastate her. Destroy her. Crush her before he killed her. So if she did come back, he could watch her crumble all over again. ]

When his grip on her throat loosens, she finds her opportunity. Lydia takes a deep breath instantly but instead of letting it out, she opens her mouth and screams.
It doesn't feel as sharp and strong as her mirror self's. But it makes her entire body vibrate, like all of her strength is going into that scream. She just hopes it works.]

But that scream. It ripped through him worse than any claws. He yanked back from her, hands clamping over his ears. But it did nothing to help. His eyes glowed red and angry. Snarling hard.
Nothing but fury in his face, he tried to shake the effects off. Growling. Reaching for her. ]

Regardless of the distance between their two points, the scream pierces Kira's eardrums, forcing her to pause and clap her hands protectively over her ears. Except some instinct makes her realize - this is not a call of death, but a cry for help.
She takes off at top speed, withdrawing the katana from its sheath and moving it into a strike position as she streaks through the forest toward Lydia.]

Even as an Alpha, Mountain Ash will still work against him and should contain him long enough for her to get away.
As Jackson reaches for her, she steps away, out of his reach and searches the bag for the pouch Stiles gave her.]

He searched the foliage around them. Trying to sniff out the source. Not that he'd have long to figure it out. ]
Re: spam;
Kira bursts through the treeline, skidding to a stop as she situates herself between the werewolf and the banshee. Her expression is perhaps uncharacteristically fierce, and her eyes gleam not beta yellow, but kitsune gold as she extends the tip of the katana toward him, though doesn't actually thrust at him outright.]
Leave Lydia alone.
spam;
If what Jerry told her is true, then Jackson should be expecting a much more dangerous of her. A Nogitsune, not a Kitsune. Hopefully he will be smart enough to run, but Lydia will try to push him toward that decision.
She takes a step forward, keeping herself behind Kira.]
I'd run while you can, Jackson. [She forces a coldness in her voice, narrowing her eyes. She needs to make him fear Kira, for his own sake.]
Re: spam;
He reached out, sliding his fingers over the dull edge of the sword. Unphased. ]
You don't have the guts to stop me.

The blade is twisted; not against his fingers, because maiming someone, even if they're a werewolf who can regenerate, doesn't seem right even while in her deepest anger, but under and past his hand as she pivots on her angle, bringing the katana up and over in a diagonal arc along his shoulder.]
I really suggest you avoid using metaphors involving body parts.

You think your little sword can stop me?
[ With a roar he lunges at her with vicious speed. Ducking under the blade, claws going for her stomach. ]

Lydia, run!
[Once he turns, Jackson will note his success in the form of crimson lines staining Kira's shirt across her lower ribcage...but also her eyes, now glowing fierce and bright and golden. Not beta yellow, but golden.]

So she reaches inside her backpack and grabs a fistful of mountain ash, not hesitating before throwing it at Jackson's feet, from behind Kira.]
Stop, Kira. [He's trapped. And she doesn't want to leave him there like that. But it's either that or him hurting someone else. And more than likely himself.]

Furious and wounded, he moved to strike again. But his hand was halted by an invisible barrier. Confused and angry, his gaze dropped to the ground. His anger turned sour, realizing what it was. He turned that furious gaze on Lydia, looking past Kira. ]
You're only delaying the inevitable, Lydia.

[Her eyes narrow at him as a warning, but she reaches for Kira's arm and pulls her away from the barrier. They need to get away from him before he can figure out how to break out.]

I'm not just a girl with a sword.
[She leaves it at that, prepared to leave in whatever direction best suits Lydia. She's not a fan of mountain ash herself.
Also, the barrier only extends so far. Jackson could figure out the whole 'see how far it extends and go around it' thing before they have a chance to lose him.]
